What Rhymes with Magdalena is a mumblecore feature film that follows Magdalena Coyotecatl, a Mexican American poet with regrets, as she tries to get closure before a pivotal moment in her life by tracking down her all of her exes over the span of a single night.
What Rhymes with Magdalena stars Cher Alvarez as Magdalena, the film was written and directed by Jose Perez, and produced by Jake Prine, Gianna Capra, and Rosebud Harrison of Kernel Productions. Currently in distribution, the film was represented at the European Film Market in Berlin this February by Terese Ann Linden Kohn of Talk Global Media.
